SocialNode.ai ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information. When you register, we collect your email address, name, and any other information you provide. Account creation and authentication are handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. We receive a unique user ID from Clerk to associate your data within our systems.
Brand Voice Data. We collect information you provide about your brand, including your tone preferences, content pillars, voice descriptors, platform priorities, and example posts. This data is used to train AI models specifically for your account.
Generated Content and Feedback. We store AI-generated posts, your feedback on those posts (approve, reject, edit), any edits you make, and optional notes you provide. This constitutes your training signal data.
Usage and Performance Data. We collect KPI metrics including post engagement rates, follower growth, link clicks, and leads attributed. We also collect token usage data to enforce plan limits and track service efficiency.
GEO Citation Data. We collect data about AI citation monitoring, including which AI platforms cited your brand, query topics, and citation rankings.
Payment Information. Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number or sensitive financial data on our servers.
Technical Data. We automatically collect log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you interact with the Service. We also use cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Generate AI content tailored to your brand voice
- Train and refine your personal AI content model based on your feedback
- Calculate and display KPI, ROI, and GEO metrics in your dashboard
- Generate and deliver monthly ROI reports
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional communications (receipts, account notices, product updates)
- Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your brand voice data or generated content to train general-purpose AI models shared across other users. Your training data is scoped exclusively to your account.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers. Third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database hosting), Anthropic (AI model inference), and Stripe (payments). These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SocialNode.ai, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
Generated posts and training signals are retained until account deletion unless you request earlier deletion.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access. Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction. Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion. Request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability. Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of marketing. Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), Row Level Security (RLS) on our database ensuring users can only access their own data, and restricted access to production systems. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your data in accordance with applicable law.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. GDPR (EU/EEA Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service), compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), and your consent (where required). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date and, where required, by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
